Dear Daddy,

Lorrie swallowed and looked around her. Her head was spinning, probably because of lack of sleep or her brain just couldn’t comprehend what was happening.
She overheard a conversation saying Max betrayed them, but a part of her says that wasn’t true. Max wouldn’t do that. Or would she? She could hear screams as well, and some growls. She saw Cooper in the air and Orlando trying to get her out of the Alpha wolf’s clutches. No one paid attention to her, so she was just standing there from a distance, watching everything. She could feel herself shaking and she was only taken back to reality when she saw a wolf from the corner of her eye going towards her direction.
And then she ran.
She ran straight ahead, straight into the heart of the forest, to get to the Long Island sound. The lake was too far. Even if the journey there would be enough to tire the wolf out, it would tire her out too. Besides, she would have to pass by the cabins to get there. She’d rather not let the wolves reach the others in their cabins.
As she went farther and farther away from where everyone was, she couldn’t help but look back to see if they were all okay. Big mistake. She turned her head and saw two more wolves had followed her. She ran faster, and she could see the water already. She looked back again once she didn’t hear any more growling, just to check if she had made enough distance between her and the wolves. Then she tripped on what felt like was a rock. A sound between a sob and a scream escaped her throat, and she gripped the arm that she landed on.
She had dropped her sword just inches away from where she lay. She used her hand to reach for it and stood up, but it was a split second late for she felt something jump on her back when she was on her knees.
The Long Island sound was meters away, so she did her best to control the water to get to her. She could feel something thick down her right cheek, she didn’t want to know what it was. She closed her eyes. Ready to face the wolf’s bite or to concentrate on the water, it must’ve been for both.
The next thing she felt was the cold air of the water passing above her head.
Tamara tried to think of this battle as a very aggressive yet entertaining game of hide and seek. She wove through phalanxes with loud howl, paralyzed children with only a stare, and even accidentally broke someone’s leg by standing in her way. If she wasn’t in her wolf form, she would probably have apologized for doing so, but right now she doesn’t really care.
Everyone was busy fending themselves, stabbing here and there, heart rates galloping 31 kilometers per second, casual screams of different pitches—the usual fight noise. Tamara thought of attacking every demigod she could see, but there was no fun in charging someone prepared. She could easily break him or her and there would absolutely be no time for her to play around. So instead of tearing people apart, she listened carefully for a specific pant: like the ones you do when in hiding.
Minutes later, she caught something. Someone was breathing slowly as she hid behind a tree. For someone in a battle, she looked pretty okay. No scars, no wounds, and not even one tiny scratch.
She turned back to her human form, went deeper into the forest with a grin. She managed to pass by demigod without getting herself assaulted. A boy who had a busted lip even turned to her and said, “Help me!”
“I-I can’t!” She replied in a fake helpless tone.
Tamara was meters away from the girl, but she could see that she looked fine. Her eyes turned a bright yellow in anticipation, waiting to see what the girl would make of her. As she approached, she dug a claw onto her own skin, making her arm bleed. She put her other hand over the wound and limped towards her.
She coughed as if something bothered her, and the girl raised her weapon and pointed at her. She put it down as soon as she saw her bleeding and defenseless.
“Oh my gods, a-are you okay?” The girl said, dropping her trusty weapon to the ground. She didn’t know that it would be the worst thing she will ever do.
“Yeah, I am.” Tamara replied, removing her grip. The girl came up to her and eyed her injury. It would stop bleeding in a few minutes, and she would love to see how she’d take it. “Why aren’t you out there? We need you!”
“I…” The girl began, careful with her choice of words. Her heart beat faster, too. “Werewolves! They never told us about werewolves! I am not armed for that kind of thing! I’d rather hide and wait.”
Tamara laughed heartily, standing straight. “Aw, you poor thing. You’re scared, aren’t you?”
The girl let out a shaky breath and nodded. She eyed Tamara suspiciously, taking a good look at her arm that doesn’t seem so wounded anymore.
“Don’t be.” Tamara grins, holding both of her hands to reassure her. “But hiding is not a good idea, sweetie.”
“W-why?” She asked innocently.
Tamara laughed once more, turning to the girl with her eyes a bright yellow. “Oh, because I found you.”
Anna was able to gather a decent amount of silver weapons, weapons she scavenged around Camp but she kept her silver dagger close to her. As she met with a few campers in the forest, she would hand them silver weapons, just something to hurt the werewolves. There wasn’t much but it was better than having no silver weapons at all.
With a few hunting knives in her messenger bag and a dagger in one hand, Anna carefully went to the forest, keeping her senses sharp at every sound. There was no doubt that Anna was indeed nervous and scared with what was going on but she had to help her camp, her home.
As she was walking deeper into the forest, she heard a conversation going on and decided to see what was happening first before butting in. There she saw 2 girls, an injured one and another demigod. She was about to enter the scenario when she saw how the wound of the injured demigod fade quickly. It couldn’t be a child of Apollo, no. They didn’t have skills like that. Anna’s eyes widened when she came to the conclusion that the other girl was a werewolf.
Quietly, Anna went back to the bushes, still watching the werewolf deceive the clueless demigod. She needed to help the girl, seeing as she’s the only one who can help her. “Oh, because I found you.” The change in the werewolf’s voice was cold that it brought chills down her spine but Anna tried to ignore that and keep focused. She saw the wolf grab the girl and now is her time to move. Quickly and still silently, Anna crept behind the female lycanthrope and pointed her dagger at the female’s back. “Let go of the girl, or I will pierce this silver through your skin.” She said sternly and let the tip of the dagger touch the werewolf’s skin. “Let her go. Now.“
Anna wasn’t sure of what would happen next but all she knew was she made herself a new enemy.
